Irish Flag Raising
Kick off the Five Points South St. Patrick’s Celebration at the 12th Annual Irish Flag Raising! Join us at 5:00 p.m. at the flagpole in front of Chick-fil-A in Five Points for a festive ceremony led by the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society. This event is an opportunity to get the holiday fun started early and set the tone for the festivities ahead.

Irish Cultural Dinner
On Friday, March 13, you’re invited to join the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society for the 46th Annual Irish Dinner! This unforgettable evening will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Stadium Club in BJCC’s Protective Stadium.
Enjoy a feast of traditional Irish food, libations, tastings and the sounds of the Perpetual Declans — an Irish musical treat that will have you tapping your toes all night long! You’ll be among friends at a table of eight for $800 or snag an individual ticket for $75. For those who wish to show extra support, sponsorships are available for $1,000.
All proceeds will benefit Kid One Transport, ensuring that children and expectant mothers who lack transportation have access to the medical care they need. Let’s make this year’s celebration one to remember — while giving back to a truly meaningful cause!

A note on parking and navigation: Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and make a full day of the celebration. Event parking will be available at the Five Points South parking deck, located adjacent to Pickwick Place, for $20 upon entry for all-day parking. Portions of Magnolia Avenue South and 11th Avenue South will be inaccessible from 20th Street. While there is ample street parking throughout the district, carpooling is encouraged. Road closures will be rolling and should cause minimal traffic disruption. Access to the valet for Chez Fonfon will remain available from Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard.
42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Put on your green and feel the luck of the Irish at the 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Five Points South on Saturday, March 14! The parade will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on 10th Ave. S., winding aside Brother Bryan Park and up 20th Street South, led by the lively Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band and other local groups. Don’t miss the shenanigans!
