- With 67,163 jobs in a 3 sq. mile area, Downtown Birmingham has the strongest worker draw in the Birmingham metro area—and 70.3% of downtown workers are earning above $40K per year.
- Downtown’s post-pandemic recovery is stronger than national trends, but the historic north side lags behind areas south of the railroad tracks. For example, downtown’s overall visitor visit recovery is 95.8% compared to the national median of 81%. - 65% of Q3-Q4 days were show days! 120 out of 184 days featured one or more theatrical performance, concert, or holiday/festival movie screening in downtown Birmingham — Alabama Theatre, Birmingham Festival Theatre, BJCC, Carver, Iron City, Jemison Concert Hall, Lyric Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre, Sidewalk Film Festival (not including regularly scheduled movies), Workplay.
